Bar Harbor, Maine Real Estate

Ah, to live in Bar Harbor.  In the summer and fall, it is quite wonderful (but you need to enjoy tourist crowds).  In the winter, not so much unless you are a hearty soul.  The town doesn't receive much snow, but the humidity and can cut right through a person and make him or her think fondly of Florida.  Real estate is expensive in Bar Harbor because the town is so quaint  and because it is small.  Spectacular ocean views and New England charm are the reason buyers choose to live here.  Keep in mind that Bar Harbor is not terribly close to any large city, so it is small town living in a lovely resort setting.
