Camden, Maine

One of the most picturesque seaport towns in Maine is Camden.  This tourist spot is crowded in the summer but not quite as much as Bar Harbor.  A lovely park behind the public library overlooks the harbor, and this is a wonderful spot for people watching and soaking up the seaside ambiance.  Visitors will find quaint shops and excellent dining, along with bed and breakfasts, vacation homes and full-service hotels.  There are also some stunning stately inns along the coast.  Moose Point State Park, just down the road, overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and is a beautiful, quiet spot for picnicking, hiking or seashell hunting.
