Maine Cities

Maine is really a tale of two states, the one inland and the one along the coast.   Cities along the coast fall into two categories, ones that attract vacationers (Bar Harbor, Camden, Boothbay, etc.) and that are usually more affluent and ones that are home to hard-working, mostly blue collar workers and families. Coastal resorts are full of ambiance, shops and bed and breakfasts and swell with tourists, primarily from Boston and New York, in the summer and fall.   Inland Maine is rural, lush and dotted with small towns, many located along rivers and lakes with one main road running through them.  Life here is quiet and inexpensive.

Visit Augusta, Bangor, Bar Harbor, Camden and Portland.
