Maine Real Estate
Inland Maine properties, from single
family homes to parcels of land, are
reasonably priced. Rural Maine is dotted
with small towns, often located on lakes and
rivers, and the cost of living here is fairly
inexpensive. Towns such as Lewiston, Waterville
and remote Millinocket offer affordable real
estate. Along the northern coast, once
you are north of Bar Harbor, land and real
estate are also relatively inexpensive, as the
land becomes more remote. Believe it or not, there are still parcels of
virgin, forested land available for sale up
here, some overlooking the Atlantic. Deals can
still be found. Property prices along the
mid and southern coast, from Bar Harbor
southward, vary. Real estate in the
vacation destinations such as Camden and
Freeport is expensive, but there are affordable
properties in some of the less touristy seaside
towns that dot the southern coast.
Visit coastal towns Bar
Harbor, Camden
and Portland
as well as inland locales Bangor
and Augusta.
